About
Rooted in Community, Growing Together
At Sensory Solutions, everything we do is built on meaningful connections – whether that’s within our team, the communities around us, or the children and families we are honored to serve. Our mission is to work alongside schools and rural communities, contributing our knowledge as trusted partners in the success and well-being of every student.
About our founder
Sensory Solutions was founded in 2018 by Camille Bailey, whose roots in rural northwestern Alberta, within Treaty 8 territory, have shaped her understanding of community strengths and opportunities for growth. This experience is at the heart of our commitment to rural service and relationship-building.
Camille holds a Bachelor of Elementary Education with a minor in Native Education and a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Alberta. With this unique background, Camille bridges educational and therapeutic perspectives, fueling our focus on school-based services. Her background in Native Education has guided our dedication to developing meaningful Indigenous partnerships, always aiming for respectful, culturally relevant support.
Driven by a passion for helping children with diverse sensory needs, Camille sought advanced training, including certification from the STAR Institute for Sensory Processing Disorder. This specialized knowledge reinforces our sensory expertise and ensures we offer current, evidence-based support.
Camille’s philosophy centers on collaboration and listening – her goal is to empower each client by working closely with local partners, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
About Our Team
While Camille’s vision set the foundation, the heart of Sensory Solutions is our talented team. Our group is made up of Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, and dedicated support staff, all united by a belief in the power of relationships.
We approach our work with humility and curiosity, recognizing that each community, family, and child brings valuable insight. Our team members see themselves as partners – supporting, learning from, and walking alongside educators, families, and community leaders. We are committed to following the lead of those we work with, shaping our services to fit their goals and needs.
Our Approach to Care
We proudly practice from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective. Rather than seeking to change the child, we strive to understand each unique viewpoint, honor lived experience, remove barriers, and create spaces where all children can flourish just as they are.
Our team is:
- Collaborative:
We believe teamwork and knowledge sharing lead to better outcomes for everyone.
- Relational:
Building trust and positive connections comes first in all that we do.
- Dedicated to Growth:
Ongoing learning and self-reflection are core to our professional commitment.
Let’s connect and discover what we can achieve together!
Whether in bustling city schools or small rural communities, our team is dedicated to bringing warmth, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help students thrive.
