INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Supporting Student Success at Home
At Sensory Solutions, we are dedicated to celebrating each child’s growth and unique abilities, building genuine connections with families in the process. Our pediatric Occupational Therapists partner with families to nurture essential life skills, placing a strong emphasis on encouragement, collaboration, and creating positive experiences within each child’s natural home environment.
While our primary work is through collaboration with schools, Indigenous education authorities, and community partners, we are pleased to offer home-based occupational therapy support where capacity allows. These services are available in the family home, depending on location and availability.

PARTNERING WITH FAMILIES
We understand that meaningful progress happens when families and therapists work together. By building relationships founded on respect and shared vision, we aim to make skill development enjoyable and relevant to your child’s daily life.
Accessing Our Home-Based Supports
Sensory Solutions primarily provides occupational therapy through contracts with schools, Indigenous organizations, and community partners. For individual families, our capacity for private, home-based sessions is limited. Whenever possible, we strive to support families within the home, but our ability to offer these services depends on location, availability and existing commitments.
If you are exploring occupational therapy for your child at home:
1. Start by speaking with your child’s school or teacher – they may be able to guide you to available school-based supports or connect you with resources.
2. Contact your FSCD caseworker (if applicable), who can assist in finding home-based OT services.
We value the trust families place in us and are honored to walk alongside you as you support your child’s journey. Please reach out if you have questions about home-based services or how we can partner to celebrate and nurture your child’s success.
